Let’s go Family Day Care provides care for up to 7 children in educator’s homes. While we do our best to cater for everyone’s child care needs, we may have a wait list for the area you are looking for.
We are also bound by Family Assistance Law to honour the Right of Access
For care. This breaks family’s circumstances into 3 priorities:
Priority 1 :
A child at risk of serious abuse or neglect
Priority 2 :
A child of a single parent who satisfies, or of parents who both satisfy, the work/training/study test under section 14 of the Family Assistance Act
Priority 3 :
Any other child
Within these main categories priority should also be given to the following children:
Children in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
Children in families which include a disabled person
Children in families on lower incomes
Children in families with a non-English speaking background
Children in socially isolated families
Children of single parents
Where an opportunity exists, parents shall be offered the choice of more than one educator. There are some circumstances in which a child who is already in care with an educator may be required to be flexible with days. Any child care service that has no vacant places and is providing care for a child who is the third priority may require that child to change days or educators in order for the service to provide a place for a higher priority child. The service will give 2 weeks’ notice of this ever happening.
